
Where BLO LAB Sits in the Coordinated Strategy
A summary of the position: wearable-first capture, a global operator network via Talika, a delivery pipeline built for foundation-model training, and honest complementarity with the teleop-warehouse layer.
The market for manipulation data is not going to be won by one architecture. It is going to be served by a coordinated set of specialists, each strong at a different slice of the problem, all feeding the same frontier-lab customers. Being clear about which slice we serve, and how it composes with the others, is more useful than pretending we are the whole answer.
What BLO LAB is
A wearable-first data-infrastructure company. Our hardware, the suit, the glove, the strap set, is designed for in-situ capture of skilled human work, wireless and battery-powered, worn during real tasks in real environments. Our data pipeline, retargeting, QA, delivery, is designed to plug into foundation-model training pipelines without translation. Our operator network, Talika, is the platform that connects skilled humans to the model teams that need their demonstrations, with payment and consent handled centrally.
What BLO LAB is not
We are not a robot-arm company. We are not a teleop-warehouse operator. We are not a simulation vendor. When a customer needs data in the deployment robot's native action space for a task that fits into a cell, the right vendor for that slice is a company like XDOF, and we say so. Being honest about the boundary of what we do is how the coordinated stack actually functions.
Where we complement the rest of the stack
Wearable capture for volume, skill breadth, embodiment diversity, and fingertip-level force. Teleop-warehouse capture for platform-specific tuning and morphologies without a clean human analogue. Simulation for the well-modeled parts of the environment. The frontier labs mix all three, and the vendors that thrive are the ones that make the composition easy, shared metadata conventions, compatible delivery formats, honest scoping of what each layer contributes.
The wager
The wager is that the hundred-million-hour question gets answered primarily by distributed wearable capture, augmented by teleop and simulation, coordinated by operator-network platforms that make skilled human demonstration a real global market. If that wager is right, BLO LAB and Talika are the two pieces of that answer we are building. If it is wrong, we will learn from the vendors who called it better and adjust.
Either way, the conversation with customers is the same: tell us what your model needs, we will tell you which slice of the stack fits, and if it is ours we will ship it.
